Movers in Savannah, GA

Whether your address in Savannah is an apartment on a narrow street or a house with a full driveway, the same employee crew that quoted the job is the one carrying the couch out on move day. We already know which blocks need a truck sized down for the driveway and which stretch of I-95 backs up worst in the afternoon, so none of that gets discovered the morning of your move.

Cordell prices every estimate himself, same afternoon it comes in — no call center, no third-party dispatcher relaying your Savannah move to someone else.

Savannah’s historic district was laid out in the 1730s around a grid of public squares, and that colonial street plan is exactly what trips up movers who show up with a standard 26-foot box truck. One-way lanes around squares like Chippewa, Madison, and Monterey were never built for anything bigger than a horse cart, so Beau Tillman keeps a smaller shuttle truck in the fleet just for those addresses, one that loads at the curb while the crew hand-carries everything the rest of the way to the door. Move outside the squares, out toward Ardsley Park, Baldwin Park, Isle of Hope, or Wilmington Island, and it’s the full-size trucks and the same eight-person crew either way. We’ve run this business off Louisville Rd since 2016, and half of what we do well is knowing which Savannah street needs the small truck before the estimate is even written.

What a Savannah Move Runs

A two-mover crew starts at $129/hr, or Cordell sizes a flat band by bedroom count once he’s seen the job, starting near $1,600

The pricing doesn’t shift whether the address sits in Savannah, a starter home a few blocks off the highway, or a two-story set back on a bigger lot — standard released-value coverage rides along in every figure Honest Moving quotes, and nothing gets tacked on once the crew’s finished loading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a moving truck actually park near my house in the historic district?
Not always, and that's fine — most of the squares have one-way lanes a 26-foot truck can't swing through. We bring a smaller shuttle truck, load curbside, and carry everything in from there instead of blocking Bull Street for an hour.
Does the shuttle truck cost extra?
No. It's built into the estimate Cordell Ashby writes once he knows the address is inside the squares, not an add-on sprung on you at the curb.
We're outside the historic district, does that change anything?
Not the crew or the price — homes out toward Ardsley Park or Wilmington Island get the same eight-person team and full-size trucks, just without the shuttle step.

“I opened this company off Louisville Road in 2016 because I was tired of watching movers quote one number over the phone and charge another once the truck was loaded. Selena’s run the office since 2018 and won’t let an estimate go out that doesn’t match what the crew actually loads. Trey’s led a crew with me since the year after we opened, Yolanda’s run her own crew since 2022, and Cordell prices every job like it’s his own move — write it down once, and hold to it.”

Beau Or Cordell Picks Up — Not A Call Center

Nobody transfers your call to a dispatch center three states away — whoever answers already knows the job. Most written estimates go out the same day you call.
